Paddock Counseling adapts internships to the course work of our interns and where they are in their programs. We provide supervision for those on track as a Limited License Professional Counselor (LLPC), but we are not currently able to provide supervision for those working toward a Limited License Master Social Work (LLMSW). Our interns will have the opportunity to interact with and counsel clients.
Our office is structured to give our counselors the feel of a private practice without having the isolation of working alone or the struggle of handling the administrative aspect of owning your own business.
We pay our interns for clinical hours at $20/per client hour and we will reimburse for pre-approved expenses.
There is also the possibility to move from intern to counselor once the intern has graduated and obtained their limited license. This opportunity is determined on a case by case basis and is not a guarantee.
Our interns are invited to join our Monday afternoon team meetings where we have company announcements. After these meetings, the counselors collaborate and bring any issues to the group for discussion. These meetings are often good learning experiences where prospective counselors get a concrete feel for the field of counseling.
